AI Discovery Hackathons
Terms of Reference to Join us in Bali 15-17.03.2024 for 48h hackathon.
Join us this March for an extraordinary journey in the world of AGI, at the much-anticipated sequel to our successful Bali Hackathon. Hosted at Livit Hub in Sanur, this event is more than just a hackathon - it's a convergence of brilliant minds from universities and coding communities across the globe.
4 challenges we will be working on
Multi-modal Data Pool
All the data existing in the agent environment can be saved and used later on by other agent teams. Files and prompts provided by users and agent teams’ results should be stored in a smart way to build the knowledge base that could fuel the general intelligence.
Technical description:
- Create multi-modal index methods & classes to take in any form of data (file, text, in-memory objects, etc.)
- Create interface for pushing to and retrieving from the data pool
- Conceptualize deployment of the complete data pool
Assessment criteria:
- Multiple file types are correctly indexed
- Agent team can easily push and retrieve from the data pool
- Deployment strategy is presented
Materials:
Massive Agent Network
In the search for the spark that ignites artificial general intelligence, one way to approach it is to think about emergence. One ant is not very smart, but the whole colony can build shelter and provide nutrition. By connecting many agent teams, we can give each one of them much more power to solve complex tasks.
Technical description:
- Conceptualize deployment of a single agent team
- Conceptualize between team communication (protocol)
- Conceptualize deployment of multiple teams
- Take under consideration costs of infrastructure
- Create communication example (at least 2 agent teams, can be simple task)
Assessment criteria:
- Proposed deployment strategies are valid
- Communication example solves a valid task (i.e. task that requires LLM & additional processing, is not simply I/O task)
- Solutions consider computational & financial limitations (memory, GPU, infrastructure)
Agents In The Wild
By giving the agents connection to the real world their source of knowledge changes drastically. New tools & information can foster the emergence of ability to tackle more complex tasks.
Technical description:
- Conceptualize the communication between agent and the world (i.e. Internet)
- Implement base classes and methods for connecting with APIs and other external sources
- Prepare a working example of an agent team utilizing the implemented solution
- Create method(s) (following the base code) to enable choosing the proper connections for the agent team to use
Assessment criteria:
- Generalizable base code (easy to implement with new external sources)
- Complexity of the example - agent teams solving a difficult example will be highly valued
Materials:
Team Visualizer
Graphs can be easily visualized, and since our agent framework is all about graphs, it will bring an entirely new level of experience if you can visualize your agent teams and potentially even interact/modify them.
Technical description:
- Design a user interface for agent team creation & visualization
- Implement a proof-of-concept version of the interface
- Demonstrate a valid user flow from task to visualized and modified team
Assessment criteria:
- Proper connection between frontend and the codebase
- Quality of the working interface demo
